Asian, Ecuadoran airports among top performers in 2018

After a strong entrance into 2018 for air cargo that tapered off by year-end to an uncertain 2019, this year’s Air Cargo Excellence (ACE) Awards, presented by our sister publication Air Cargo World, reflect dramatic swings in the industry – as well as some high-performing airports that managed to maintain strong scores year-over-year.

Launched in 2005, the ACE Awards are determined from the results of the exclusive, anonymous Air Cargo Excellence survey conducted by our sister publication, Air Cargo World. Airports were judged by forwarders, cargo agents and third-party logistics providers on each airport’s performance, value and facilities for the same time period. (See aircargoworld.com/air-cargo-excellence for more details.)

The top three performers in each category were awarded Diamond, Platinum and Gold awards. Those airports that received an above-average (more than the 100- point baseline) ACE index score, but less than the upper award levels, were recognized with Certificates of Excellence. All told, among airports, there are eight Awards and five Certificates being recognized this year.
